Overview
hypr·bible is a free Bible study site. You can read, search, and explore the site without creating an account. We try to collect as little information as practical while still understanding whether the site is useful and which pages need improvement.
Information Stored on Your Device
Some features store data in your browser so the site can work smoothly. This includes preferences such as theme, language, sidebar state, copy settings, and reading context. Reading context helps the site remember the chapter you were reading and show a shortcut back to it. This local data stays in your browser unless you clear your site data.
Search runs locally in your browser. Search queries are not sent to our server by the search feature.
Account Data and Sync
If you create an account, we store your email address, preferred name, and authentication records needed to operate the account. Notes you create are stored in your browser and synced to your account so they can be available across devices. Notes may include the text you selected, your note content, and the passage location needed to display it again.
While you are signed in, reading activity is also synced to your account to support features such as continuing where you left off and understanding your recent reading. This can include pages and passages visited, visit times, time spent, scroll depth, and navigation context.
Your synced notes and account reading history are private account data. They are not published publicly.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage: page views, referrers, approximate geography, device/browser information, engagement time, and navigation patterns. Analytics events may include site-specific page metadata such as language, route type, book, chapter, and whether a page was opened with a verse or quote deep link.
We do not intentionally send Google Analytics names, email addresses, account identifiers, raw search queries, selected text, or other information that directly identifies you. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure visits and engagement.
Google describes how it collects and processes data from sites that use Google services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites .
Advertising
We do not currently use Google Analytics Advertising Features, remarketing, ad personalization, or ad networks on hypr·bible.
How We Use Analytics
Analytics helps us understand which pages are being read, whether visitors can find their way around the site, where broken or confusing paths may exist, and which resources are worth improving first.
Your Choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also use browser privacy tools or Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Clearing this site's browser storage will remove local preferences and reading context stored on your device.
